How You Can Contribute
Folding@home™ is supported by volunteers who are making a contribution to society. You can contribute to Folding@home™ by providing the computing power of your PS3™ system's Cell/B.E. processor via the Folding@home™ network.
The PS3™ system's Cell/B.E. processor will dramatically add to the computing performance of the Folding@home™ project.
Participation from PS3™ system users will accelerate the understanding of human disease and may eventually lead to cures.
How Folding@home™ on PlayStation®3 Works
| 1. | Download the free Life with PlayStation® application as shown in the following link. How You Can Download Life with PlayStation® |
| 2. | Folding@home™ will automatically download work units from Stanford University's dedicated server while Life with PlayStation® is running. |
| 3. | Computation is performed on your PS3™ system. |
| 4. | The computation result is automatically uploaded to Stanford University's server. |
| 5. | As long as Folding@home™ is running on your PS3™ system, steps 2 through 4 are repeated. |
