Project Lead The WayMay, 2011Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) partnered with NPO and hosted an event, Project Lead the Way, for Valley Christian Junior School. This project is to help understanding how the skills students learn in school relate to everyday life by introducing them to the field of engineering. SCEA contributed to the project by doing a site tour and discussions for the students. |

Kids DayApril & May 2011Kids Day enables the children of SCEA employees to be on-site for the day. It not only provides a field trip opportunity for children, but also enables their parents to show them working as SCEA employees. The kids were also given goodies and were allowed to draw on designated walls and spent productive day with SCEA employees. |

ESA Nite to UniteSince October, 2009 (ongoing)The 11th annual Nite To Unite (NTU) for Kids benefit dinner and auction was held on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd at the Westin St. Francis in SF. An NTU for Kids is an annual dinner hosted by the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) and supported by members of the association and the interactive entertainment industry to raise funds for the ESA Foundation. NTU is an unprecedented effort by the interactive entertainment community to come together to celebrate the industry's continuing growth and success, while helping to make a difference in the lives of America's kids. This year SCEA donated electronic auction items, and SCEA staff members joined this event as volunteers. |

Community PartnershipSince 2008 (ongoing)SCEE Liverpool office founded a 'partnership project' with Grandison Allotment Society, a community allotment site based in Liverpool (Walton). In 2008, they carried out a transformation project and turned a dilapidated allotment into a thrived place, where local school uses for the gardening club. In 2011, activities such as painting the club house/fences and relining their poly tunnels have been done. |

Charitable Book Event2009 & 2011SCEH has conducted a charity program with ‘Heifer International Hong Kong’ which aims to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. From the sale of a charitable book written by a General Manager of Marketing Division, SCEH, all proceeds were donated to ‘Heifer International Hong Kong’ to support its poverty alleviation work in rural China. |
